Satellite team loses with Squeeze in nerve play

In a match that filled the CAB Pavilion with emotion, our Satellite Team was defeated by Squeeze for the result of 71-78. The dominant score of the match was the balance between the two teams, who surrendered to the match and fought intensely each ball. In the end, it was dignified the modality and the certainty that two formations that respected each other were in the field. The match began better for visitors, who soon assumed the reins of the game. By benefiting not only from its sporting merit, but also from the youth and inexperience of Madeirans, Esgueira gained some superiority. However, the ones commanded by Ricardo Montes began to enter the game, to believe more in themselves and to respond equal to continental athletes. The balance was restored and the match reached the interval with the marker in 41-41. In the second part, the roles were reversed, with our Satellite Team entering better, fruit, essentially, of the greatest success in defensive markings, a greater presence in the jumps and better aim, including in the chapter of the outer shot. However, the Esgueira did not lower his arms and regained the advantage that the Maritime CS had created, betting on quick exits in counterattack. By the end of the game, the two formations proved to be very aggressive and determined, but the Swing, with greater coldness and great effectiveness of the free throw, managed to take advantage of the many shortages accumulated by young Madeirans (34 throughout the match) and were threatening precious points. The Maritime CS, on the contrary, proved less effective and less striking than it had been, allowing visitors to leave Madeira with a precious victory. Despite the result, we cannot fail to highlight the great will and delivery of our players, who, in games like these, are confronted with a reality different from that to which they are accustomed in competitive terms but which will greatly help them to grow sportily. They are the future of our Women's Team and we know that everything will continue to fill this club with even more pride in everything they do.
