The second game of the CAB/CM Hotels Cup put face to face the formation of the Gran Canaria and the Danish Horsholm. The theory gave advantage to the Spanish team, which on the eve had successfully defeated the house team for a significant result. The question remained whether theoretical predictions would prove themselves within the field. The game began best for the Gran Canaria team, which brought justice to their (many) offensive arguments and to their great defensive organization. However, Horsholm's team did not leave their credits by others and gave an equally strong response to the Spanish. The balance dominated the first half and only a sharper offensive momentum of the Gran Canaria in the last minutes of the first half, the result of good external looping, allowed the Spanish to reach the end of the first ten minutes of play to win by the result of 21-12. In the second half, the Danish more dominated the rhythm of the game. In essence, due to its good offensive organization and a defense ‘to the area’ to which Gran Canaria had great difficulty adapting, Horsholm won the period and provided some of the most enjoyable moments of the meeting. However, their effort was not enough to move ahead of the scorer, as the interval arrived with 42-33, in favor of the Spanish players. On the return of the locker rooms, the Spanish team entered determined to decide the match early and bet (with merit) on the outside launch as the main weapon of attack. The effectiveness of his launchers allowed Gran Canaria to shoot the marker. The Danish responded by exploring their inner game. However, Horsholm's R4 was not enough to counter the Spanish women, who won the period by 20-13 and reached the end of time ahead by 62-46. In the fourth and final period, Gran Canaria again explored its inner game, causing great problems to the opponents. Horsholm turned to the outer launch, but probably the result of fatigue, its effectiveness was less than in previous periods. As the minutes passed, the superiority of the Spanish showed even more, but the Danish fought to the end, losing, but with great dignity. The final result was 90-61, in favor of Gran Canaria. At the end of the meeting, the Spanish team received, from the CAB president, the cup referring to the first place of the competition. Because they will return to their home before the completion of the last tournament game (CAB vs Horsholm, Sunday, 5 p.m.), Spanish players have already been awarded the prize for first place.
