EuroBasket elects CAB base the Best National Athlete

The end of the season is a time of analysis of the competitions held and the athletes who most distinguished themselves at the service of their respective clubs. In this sense, the website 'EuroBasket', a world reference of the sport of basketball, elected Maria João Correia, the basis of the women's team of the CAB, as the Best Portuguese athlete of the period 2013-2014. The player was also selected to join the Best Team of Portuguese Players and the Second Best Global Team, which includes all the players who played in the Women's League, regardless of nationality. In individual terms, the year it ended was dreamy for the player who graduated from CAB schools. Maria João completed the year with averages of 17.6 points and 3.7 assists per departure. In addition to excellent individual performances, Maria João also led the team to a high-level era, marked by the invincibility in the second round of the race and the conquest of the Cup of Portugal, the sixth in the history of the CAB and that makes the club of Madeira the organization, in active, with more Cups of Portugal conquered. Outside the field, Maria João continues to distinguish brilliantly in her academic career in the field of nursing, and her professional skills and skills are widely recognized and praised by everyone with whom "our" Maria works. It is therefore a real reference, on its own merits, not only in basketball, but also in personal life.
