Event took place in the CAB Pavilion

The 20th edition of the CAB Tournament has already been presented. The presentation took place at the CAB Pavilion and was attended by the club's president, Francisco Gomes, as well as the Regional Director of Sport, David Gomes, the President of the Madeira Basketball Association, Sandra Reynolds, the Technical Director of the Tournament, João Paulo Silva, and the sponsor of this year's edition of the Tournament, Mario Gil Fernandes. Some of the staff members of the event also attended. The CAB Tournament will run from 5 to 9 July. It is already confirmed the presence of 24 teams, in a total participation of about 500 people, among athletes, coaches, referees, companions and collaborators. The event will involve about 50 games, all of which will take place in the CAB Pavilion. The competition is sub-14, sub-16, sub-19 and sub-24. According to data released by the Organization, the CAB Tournament, which is one of the largest held in Portugal, brings an investment in the regional economy of about 40,000 euros, in direct investment, and about 10,000 euros, in indirect investment. In addition, the event functions as a tourist projection of the Madeira destination, operating as a privileged platform for promotion of the Region to the sports sector and not only, as several education officers of the participating teams also participate in the Tournament.
