On 7 December, a Saturday, the CAB organises a food collection campaign. On the occasion of the home game of the senior female team, the family club carries out an initiative aimed at helping families in need of food to support them in the difficult phase of our society. On that day, the ‘price’ of admission to the scheduled game is of a food genre. In other words, anyone who wants to watch live from the Women's Team against Olivais (1600 hours) should bring with them, for example, a kilo of rice, a package of pasta, a liter of juice, or any other kind of food. The food collected will later be delivered to ‘ChikiGentil Madeira’, a group of volunteers dedicated to helping others, who will bring them to families in need who are faced with difficult situations. In statements to the CAB’s Official Website, Francisco Gomes, president of the club, says, “As everyone knows, the crisis that affects the region and the country has caused great dramas in society. Many of these dramas are very close to us as we see poverty spreading and cutting brutally, the dreams and lives of thousands of people.” For the leader of Friends, “The campaign we will promote aims to help people who are living great dramas to discover some hope and some dignity in these difficult moments. Although this gesture is only symbolic, given the enormous needs that exist, we call on everyone not to be indifferent to the initiative and to collaborate in this collection with as much or as little as they can, because they will be contributing to making a difference in someone’s life.” The CAB therefore invites people to come to the senior women's team's game on 7 December and collaborate for food gathering. With the help of everyone, the CAB FAMILY can help those who need it most, remembering the maximum: ‘Today for you, tomorrow for me’. Anyone who cannot watch the games but still wants to contribute can, on any day, leave their contribution to the Club Secretariat, located in the CAB Pavilion, because the Country Club and ‘ChikiGentil Madeira’ will make it reach the people who need it most.
