Federation approves image for Super Cup

The Portuguese Basketball Federation (FPB) issued an opinion in favour of the logo proposal which was submitted by the Madeira Basketball Association (ABM) for the Women's League Super Cup in Funchal in early November. The institution leading Portuguese basketball approved the image proposed by its regional interlocutor, adopting the proposed image as a symbol of the competition that will put forward the teams of the Sportive Union and the CAB. With this decision, this image will appear in the material related to the Women's League Super Cup, acting as a visual reference to it. In the approved image, the basketball, universal symbol of the sport, as well as the symbol of the Portuguese Basketball Federation, the maximum basketball entity in our country. In the image approved, there is also a reference to the region where the competition will be played, namely the waves of the sea, which abound in an essentially maritime region such as Madeira, as well as the name 'Madeira'. Finally, the year of the Super Cup (2015), the color of the Women's League (light blue) and the colors of the national flag (red and green) are present in the image. In general terms, the image intends to incorporate the dynamism that characterizes the modality of basketball and also dignify the magnitude of the federative test. As is customary in all events organized by the FPB, the symbol also refers to the joy and youth of the modality.
