Despite being in Madeira for a few days, Filipa Bernardeco has already had the opportunity to know gradually the reality of the CAB. The young Portuguese player embraced the challenge of defending the jersey of Friends of the Basketball and is getting used to a new club and a new life, filled with different opportunities and challenges. The CAB's official website has come to terms with the new senior athlete and has tried his expectations, goals and spirit with which he is facing a new phase in his life and career. Below we leave the record of the conversation: How are you looking at coming to the CAB? I am looking at this coming to the CAB as a great opportunity to develop myself as a player, health professional and above all as a person, because it is my first time away from home and for this reason I hope it will become a very enriching experience. What were the factors in your decision to move to Madeira? I mean, what attracted you the most about the club? My decision focused very much on the player aspect, as the CAB has always shown a good competitive level, and in individual terms it also offers me good progress conditions. What expectations do you have of the club and the team you will join? Expectations are not always easy to express, but I hope that, above all, a good relationship of trust will be created in the work developed, a great spirit of sacrifice combined with competence, and a great cohesion among all those involved, as they are fundamental aspects for the goals we have in common to be designed for the results we have proposed. What are your personal goals for the coming season? My goals are certainly to be able to evolve in my skills in position 1 and to assume myself as an added value for the team. The team begins the season with participation in the III CAB Cup, which will be filled with very competitive teams from Spain and England. What are the goals for the test? We can view this tournament as a preparation for building the team's game dynamics, but without neglecting the competitive character, which is also important to strengthen the group's trust, because we will compete with opponents with a competitive baggage of great weight. How far can the Female CAB go, version 2015-2016? I assume, from now on, that the CAB, version 2015-2016, is one of the candidates for the national title and that despite the differences in relation to other times, it will in no way change the competitive character that this team presents and the race of wanting to win. What message would you like to leave the CAB FAMILY? Firstly, I would like to say that although it is too early to feel the spirit of this family, which I am happy to be a part of it and hope to contribute to the values of this institution being defended in and out of the field.
