The third edition of the CAB Cup has come to an end. The event, which met in the CAB Pavilion seven senior teams, was defined by success, not only in the sport quality of the games held and the teams involved, but also in the organization of the event. During the days of the tournament and also during its closing, the positive and constructive criticisms of the club organized by the initiative were repeated, which confirms the institutional projection of the CAB and also the good name of Madeira. It was undoubtedly a great success for the entire CAB structure. On the last day of the Cup, the teams involved hit the final score. In the female sector, CREF Hola came first, followed by Gran Canaria and Ciudad de los Adelantados. The Friends, who defeated Midnight Madness in this afternoon's game (79-51) took fourth place and the English formation was fifth. In the male sector, Midnight Madness's formation came first, winning all three games played by the CAB. The Friends, even having lost, left very good indications for the future and gave guarantees that will make a very competitive time. The event was closed at the 'Gin, Beer & Wine Club' of the Santa Maria Hostel, which took place in a social and party setting. The image of the club and Madeira was very positive, and the motto for the IV CAB Cup was already released in September next year. Francisco Gomes exalts volunteers and organization In statements to the CAB Official Site, Francisco Gomes, president of the club, highlighted the success of the initiative. "I am very pleased with the success that defined the III CAB Cup, because it is a proof of the institutional respect that our club has across borders and also a very clear demonstration of the organizational capacity of our institution. We do not allow ourselves to be limited by the financial constraints that haunt the sports institutions in the region, but, on the contrary, we have outlined a bold goal, which was the holding of an international senior tournament, and we have achieved it perfectly." The President of Friends also highlighted the work of those who made the event possible. "I thank, on behalf of the club, the volunteers who have made the initiative possible, from the team guides, to those responsible for arbitration, statistics, transport, the secretariat, meals and all the dynamics of the event. The CAB has grown and will continue to grow because there are people who believe in the CAB and make it a synonym of sports, social and institutional success. It is to them, above all else, that we owe everything we are and they are the greatest guarantee of our survival."
