On Wednesday, the Apel School will visit the CAB Pavilion. The initiative, which is part of the cooperation protocol between Friends and that educational institution, signed at the beginning of the school year, will be divided into two moments. At 3:15 pm, the visiting students will take part in a lecture, guided by coach João Paulo Silva, leader of the senior male team, which will focus on the essential aspects of the modality and the CAB. Then, at 4:00 p.m., the group of students will attend the training of the professional team, doing a job at the level of the statistical record. Apel’s visit continues the great work of proximity that the CAB has been doing, especially throughout this year, with various educational establishments. This work includes visits to the institutions, workshops on the modality and interaction in the training environment. In this way, the CAB intends to make known the Training Mission that it professes, as well as to disseminate the modality and raise awareness of the importance of sports practice. In statements to the CAB Official Site, João Paulo Silva commented on Wednesday's initiative. Here we record your words: “The APEL school, through Professor Marco Willy, along with a class of the professional sports course, will perform a statistical observation work of one of the trainings of our professional team. This action is part of the set of activities provided for in the protocol established between the two institutions.” “As a CAB coach and coordinator, I have expressed the full availability for this initiative because I understand that it is crucial for the club to promote our activity and increase the desire for young people to practice or be associated with basketball in the CAB.” “In addition to this, we are contributing to the training of young students in a key area for society. Sports practice thus assumes a global value in the formation of young people and we want to be linked, not only to sports performance goals, but also to stimulate a mentality associated with the dynamics of an active life. Alongside this initiative, I will have the opportunity to talk to students about the management of human resources inherent in the work developed in the CAB.” “The approach of themes related to the modality will be an opportunity to make some strategies known for the coach’s intervention in the construction of a team. The possibility for some of these students to perform team leadership functions encourages my collaboration in this partnership.”
