This weekend, the women's CAB team will participate in the Federation Cup. The competition takes place in Coimbra, with the teams that were in the top eight places in the first round of the League to compete for the trophy. According to the previous draw, the CAB will have ahead, already on Friday, the Lombos team. If you overcome the formation of Carcavelos, the Friends will play with the team that wins the game between Vagos and Olivais, home team. Then, if you win this second game, the Madeirans will be present in the final. On the eve of the competition, the CAB Official Site reached the address with Coach João Freitas and asked him for a preview of our team's participation in the trophy. Here we leave his words: “This Cup does not come at the best time for us. Our work and development as a team has always been conditioned by the number of injuries. Moreover, the injured occupy inner positions. Joana, Rosinha and Victoria have done a remarkable job, both at the training level and at the game level, to bridge the lack of our inner game.” “We have always been honest and realistic with our group. Not being the favourites, by the factors I mentioned above, we will also not let our realism accommodate us and that we do not fight in every game to win. The team is working hard and well to make up for the absences. A work that has been of advances and setbacks, as a way to frame the new players.” “The construction of dynamics is not a rush. The thing is, we don't have time to slow down. There's a cup to win and ambition doesn't take away from us. As long as we have five players available, they can count on their work and courage.”
