The CAB men's team won last Saturday their second win in the same number of games played. The start-up is positive, but the group refuses to go into euphoria, because it is known that the season is long and the challenges will be more than many and several species, so the team must be prepared to work more and better. In the aftermath of the game, and already think of the next opponent, who is against the formation of Galitos, the CAB Official Site did a short interview with Coach João Paulo Silva. Here's the record of the conversation: Are you happy with the start of the season? Naturally satisfied. The reason why every day we have done rigorous work, of great intensity, is always with the clear intention of winning games. I have insisted on the idea that the team should be competitive at all times and, for this to be a reality, everyone should participate actively. These victories serve fundamentally as an impetus for tireless dedication to the values that have guided our work. What was the central point for the two victories achieved? I have made it very clear to all the elements of the group that the strength of the collective is much greater than the individual capacity isolated from this collective dimension. We are going through a process of building a team that, wanting to be competitive, needs to know that this capacity will only be possible through representation and connection between all elements. From my perspective, this use of the collective dimension, the dedication of all to the benefit of common goals, was the main reason for the victories achieved and, above all, it will be based on this quality that we can achieve new successes. What does the team look like that deserves most attention from the technical team? We will now devote more attention to defensive aspects. There are still many areas that deserve constant dedication in the search for the desired entanglement. However, I have the clear notion that we must seek to improve a set of defensive responses that will reduce the offensive influence of our opponents. Being competitive goes, above all, through the 'aggressive' way we want to condition the offensive actions of our opponents. And that has to be encouraging for our athletes. From reading the games played, I understand that this is the aspect that deserves most attention in our preparation. Here comes Galitos. What care does the Lisbon team inspire? Galitos has been a traditionally well-prepared and oriented team. Let's prepare this game with the same concentration and responsibility that has characterized us. It is a team that has a very large collective influence, where several players participate effectively in various aspects of the game. We want to create a set of imbalances on the Galitos team that will allow us offensive actions from recovered balls. However, I want to make it very clear that as important as the next opponent, it is that the team continues the course of work that will lead us to an attacking and defensive competitive identity. How will the CAB prepare the game? As I said earlier, preparation will be mainly at the level of some necessary adaptations according to the individual and collective capacity of Galitos. The set of specific situations for this game will be determined in the game plan, without ever forgetting the reinforcement of the aspects that will characterize us as a team.
