This Monday, the CAB and the publisher 'O Liberal' publish the book 'Epocais Femininas'. The work by the trainer João Paulo Silva ('Juca') has its public presentation on the day that Friends of the Basketball celebrate 36 years of existence. it is a case to say that, in historical day, the CAB takes another step in history, or it was not 'Feminine Times' the first written record of the club's history founded on November 30, 1979. The CAB Official Site has reached the address of the author, and current coach of the CAB male squad, asking him some questions about the work that is coming to the public today. Here's the record of the conversation: Is there passion behind the writing of ‘Feminine Times’? The book was written with passion and when it does, it takes time to find the right words. I do not know if this will be the preferred format of exposing a time in the history of an institution that has grown to the rhythm of the tireless dedication of various personalities. I have only unveiled in the course of women's times the opportunity to build ideas, to give direction to my thoughts and disagreements about leadership in the sports field. What's the purpose of the book? There are three central aspects that contaminate the entire route made over time that is reported in this work. In the foreground, we note the need to praise a broad set of athletes who, in a devout way, gave themselves without hesitation to a cause that mainly aimed at collective affirmation, indifferent to any particular ascension. On the other hand, there are reports of episodes that may in some way cooperate to clarify the phenomenon linked to sports orientation. Finally, I would like to confirm with conviction the enhancement of the CAB. The club has been building growth with a clearly authenticated impact at national and international level. ‘Feminine seasons’ coincides with a set of stages that highlighted this statement and contributed to this value regulating the rational construction of new stages in the club’s life, thus opening up a path that will lead us to progress in a sustained way. What can a basketball coach expect to find in this book? These reports are a responsible requirement arising from the genuinely produced commitment through the relationship established with other coaches. His action aroused the need to share knowledge about aspects related to team leadership. Thus, women's periods are a challenge for trainers who realize the importance of recognizing in others a possible source of knowledge useful to their evolution. Can this book help coaches be better leaders? Perhaps this will not be a mandatory reading work but it will undoubtedly be a production that will essentially enable coaches to have greater scope in the rational domain of the themes that make up a process of sports leadership. In this sense, it is up to each one to know how to characterize, for convenience of its action, the selection of the most appropriate contents.
