João Pedro Vieira sees the start of the Amigas era

Work's about to start for the senior female team. About two weeks from the official start of the training, the CAb Official Site reached the talk with Trainer João Pedro Vieira and asked some questions about the future of our team and the current state of the Women's League. Here are your answers: How are you watching this year's Women's League issue? More competitive or less competitive than last time? I think that, at this time, the Women's League competition could be more balanced and competitive than last year, as the vast majority of teams have changed and strengthened their plants. From the changes that have been made, it seems to me that we will have a more balanced championship. Was the opening to a community player positive? No doubt so, because, as is well known, many Portuguese players with above average quality or going to the USA, play in the NCAA, or choose to go to other European countries, especially Spain. The possibility that we can recruit a European player, in addition to the two non-EU players, may be, on the one hand, a way to encourage the national player to work better if she wants to play more, and on the other hand, if these Community players are of above-average quality, will contribute to a better competitive level. Is it hard to make a competitive team, given all the club's financial limitations? We coaches always want the best players, but, as is understandable, within the financial constraints, we are building a squad as competitive as possible so that we can fight for our goals, which go through fighting for titles. This will be my third consecutive season as head coach of the senior female CAB team and we always have along with the club director tried to build teams as competitive as possible according to the club's financial possibilities. When is training scheduled to start? We will begin our preparation with pre-season training on August 31. However, we will not have the whole squad working together until 13 September. How's the working party feel? Are the players motivated, or is the feeling of vacation still in store? I feel that our players are very motivated to start the new season, both national and foreign players. What expectations do you have of Assistant Coach Luisa Montes? Expectations are normal. I hope it will be a great help in daily work with the team and in promoting a positive and serious environment within the working group. It will play an important role in building our defensive systems. I hope it's a hit team.
