Player arrives on loan from Benfica

The Board of Directors of the SAD of the CAB has just confirmed the integration of Diogo Gameiro of the CAB team that will compete in the Men's League. The player comes on loan from Benfica, a club with which Friends maintain a good institutional relationship. Diogo Gameiro is a player who aligns in the base position and joins the second line of Friends. The athlete is 1.83 meters tall and was born in August 1995, so he will be 21 next month. In statements to the CAB's Official Site, João Paulo Silva, coach of the Men's Team, commented as follows the arrival of Gameiro: "Diogo Gameiro is one of the most promising young people in Portuguese basketball. We want you to grow together with the team and thus help build our goals." Additionally, the coach of Friends noted: "Diogo comes to perform the first base functions, and although he still has much to progress, he is able to lead the group. Above all, we want Diogo to be able to stay in the CAB for a few years thus consolidating its evolution and natural ambition."
