Fred Gentry will wear the CAB sweater again. The player, of Portuguese nationality, thus returns to a club that represented between 2010-2011 and where he kept good memories, because that year, the Friends conquered the Cup of Portugal. Gentry is 2.03 meters tall and acts in the post position. The player, who at the time represented Benfica, maintained, over the years, a close relationship with the CAB, an aspect that weighed considerably in his decision to give a new direction to his career. To remember that Gentry is a player with an impressive sports curriculum, in which, besides CAB and Benfica, there are names such as Porto, Petro de Luanda, Gymnasium and Interclub. In statements to the Official CAB Site, João Paulo Silva (‘Juca’), coach of Friends, highlighted the quality of the player. “Fred Gentry is the kind of player who comes to give quality and lots of experience. Gathering a set of young athletes with athletes who know the League well is one of our goals. The stability of the team must be ensured from the outset so that the entire work programme can be built.” In addition, the CAB technician observed: “Fred is a versatile player, with good inner movements and good external launch capability. Together with Fábio Lima, two players who have been teammates, guarantees good prospects for quickly finding the cohesion needed for good collective performance.”
