Message from Roberto Rodrigues to participants in the XX CAB Tournament

This year's edition of the CAB Tournament has been prepared for some time. In this preparation process, Roberto Rodrigues, Vice President for Sports Management of the club, has assumed the intermediation regarding the programming of the most important logistical aspects of the event. The CAB's Official Site reached the address with Roberto for a short interview and, a way of ‘point of the situation. Here we leave the result of the brief conversation: How's the tournament organization going? The organisation is already finalising details, because everything needs to be handled thoroughly so that unexpected situations can be minimised, because obviously the ideal would be perfection, so we work year by year to reach that level. This year we also have the experience of ‘Catchawards’. The need to prepare everything is easy to understand when we talk about numbers, because it will be more than two hundred participants, only those outside the region, who will require more than a thousand meals, about two hundred transport circuits, to culminate, of course, in half a hundred games. What expectations fall on the event? Although it can be considered a special edition, because it is the 20th edition, the expectations for all CAB Tournaments are always high, as this is a national basketball reference tournament and the CAB is a club that has used the basketball world to organizations of excellence, surely everyone will expect the best. What's your best memory of the CAB Tournament? The best memories of the CAB Tournaments were all as a player. There were many moments of fun, friendship, companionship and obviously a lot of competition, because, although I have already had the opportunity to be involved in this tournament in the most varied perspectives (adept, coach, organization), there is nothing like experiencing within the field the spirit of this fantastic tournament. What message would you like to leave to the teams coming to Madeira Enjoy and enjoy the excellence of the tournament, as well as the beauty of Madeira Island.
