Num Sá elected athlete of the year

The award ceremony of the XVI The CAB tournament was also the stage on which the club's management recognized the athlete who distinguished himself most throughout the season. In this sense, the leaders of the CAB decided to award this year's award to the athlete Nuno Sá, of the sub-16 male. Nuno started playing basketball two years ago, when the CAB created the CAB Center at the Freiras Corral. The athlete, who until then played futsal, the only sport that existed in his parish, found in basketball a passion that embraced and never left. Nuno's growth has been truly meteoric, the result of the good coaches he found in the CAB, and also, and on a large scale, the result of the individual work he has been doing alone, often training the various aspects of his game so that it can grow and become more competitive. The basketball evolution of the Nuno is evident for all those who have followed it, which has already been called to the national team and to a training camp in Spain. All of this shows that work and dedication pay off, which is a life lesson for all of our athletes who have in Nuno a proof that it is working a lot that goes far. Despite his great growth in basketball, Nuno always maintains a humble posture, listening to coaches and being a good teammate for his colleagues. In your heart, there are no feelings of superiority, but always a cooperative attitude of those who want to learn more. Adding to all this, Nuno is an excellent son, who helps his parents in their daily tasks, and a good student who has earned a very interesting average this year and who opens the doors of various courses and universities. He has never neglected basketball studies, but, on the contrary, he has always reconciled both sides in a demonstration that, when one wants to succeed, it is always possible to achieve it, if, of course, we are willing to sacrifice ourselves for it. For all this – but above all for the great example of life that he is – the direction of the CAB recognized Nuno It is like ‘Athlete CAB 2012/2013’, knowing that wherever he goes and wherever he is, he will always find in the CAB a house that will welcome him with open arms.
