Francisco Gomes renewed his term as president of the Basketball Friends' Directorate. In an election in which no competing list was presented, the current president of the CAB was re-elected for another four years ahead of the designs of the Nazaré club. To register, in the composition of the elected Board, the entries of members Roberto Rodrigues (secretary-general), Cláudia Gonçalves (vogal), Carlos Pinto (vogal) and Sandra Gonçalves (suplente). From the previous team, António Montes (vice-president for financial management), Ricardo Montes (vice-president for sports management), Carmo Fernandes (vice-president for administrative and patrimonial management) and Rita France (suplente). João Pedro Vieira, who abandons the position of vice-president for sports management to assume solely the guidance of the female senior team and the coordination of the women's training of the CAB. “The first term was extremely difficult due to cross-cutting situations for all Madeiran clubs. It was a survival test that the previous board overcame, with personal sacrifice from the people who ran the club at this stage. We trust that this mandate will not be ravaged by such serious issues and that we can focus on the objectives identified in the Strategic Project that the partners have just legitimized with their vote,” Francisco Gomes told CAB Official Website. “I leave a word of gratitude to the members of the social bodies elected for the courage to assume the leadership of the CAB and the responsibilities underlying any sports project at this time of redefinition of the entire regional sports structure. This is a motivated group that will contribute to another beautiful chapter in the history of this club”, concluded the re-elected president. The new social bodies of the CAB took office soon after the vote and their counting of votes for the need to comply quickly with the formalisms inherent in the election so that they can proceed with the programming of the new sporting season.
