In the second game of a double journey, the women's team faced ESSA, a team that over the years has proved to be always very well organized and smart to play. The question was whether the CAB would succeed in following the victory of the previous day, before Algés, or would yield to the continentals. The game began frankly badly for the CAB players. Denoting fatigue, deconcentration and a very poor performance, both in the attack and in defense, the Friends were totally dominated by the athletes of the house, who reached the end of the first period to win by 29-10. There were 19 points of advantage that, previously, would cause great problems to athletes guided by João Pedro Vieira. In the second period, the CAB had to run a lot behind the damage. The Madeirans won the period by 17-21, but reached the interval still to be lost by 46-31. ESSA's advantage had been reduced from 19 to 15 points, but the athletes of the house still had an extremely comfortable advantage that allowed them to go to the interval with a much quieter spirit than the CAB. The return of the match was again very competitive, with the CAB once again winning the third period. Thanks to a more defensive attitude, the Friends have again reduced the advantage of the players of the house, from 15 points to ‘only’ 12. The result after thirty minutes of play was 71-59, numbers that inspired a lot of concern on the side of the Friends and that rewarded the sport merit of ESSA, who deserved to be ahead for what he was doing in the field. In the last period of the meeting, the CAB tried, in every way and in every way, to overcome the tactical scheme set up by ESSA and to compensate for the paupérrimal provision of the first period, generating a huge disadvantage soon to open the meeting. For some time, it seemed that the Madeirans would achieve this goal, because five minutes from the end, the difference between the teams was ‘only’ nine points, with the marker in 75-66, favorable to those of the house. However, the ESSa appealed to all its sporting merit, and, playing at home, valued its weapons, serenity and intelligence. Effectively, the home athletes knew how to stop the attack wave of the Friends and impose their arguments when it was time to score points. Despite the great effort, the CAB failed to undo what had happened in the first ten minutes of play, paying dearly for the initial apathy. The game ended with the scorer in 84-72, favorable to ESSA. In individual terms: Cintia France (6 points), Ana Jardim, Marta Bravo (7 points), Maria João (26 points, 7 points), Christian Shelter (20 points, 11 points), Catarina Freitas (2 points, 3 points), Justina Udenze (11 points, 11 points), Carolina Escorcio and Carla Relva.
