The semi-finals of the Women's Portuguese Cup are already known. The draw held this afternoon in Funchal, more precisely at the Hotel Baía Azul, determined that, in the first half-final, the CAB team will face the formation of Sportiva. This game will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, 7 March. In the second half-final, the Boa Viagem team will face the formation of Lombos. This game will also be held on 7 March, but this time at 6 p.m. The Cup final, which will place front-to-front the winning teams of the two semi-finals, will be played on 8 March, Sunday, at 4pm. All games will be played in the CAB Pavilion. The draw was attended by Sidónio Fernandes, vice president of the Portuguese Basketball Federation, as well as Sandra Rebolo, president of the Association of Basketball of Madeira, Orlando Fernandes, representative of Quinta dos Lombos, and Francisco Gomes, president of the CAB. The competition of the Portuguese Cup in the Female in Madeira marks the return of the Region to the route of the final stages of national basketball. This is the result of a favourable opinion from the Federation on an application submitted by the Madeira Basketball Association and which will make in Madeira the capital of national basketball on 7 and 8 March.
