The participation of the Sub-14 Team has come to an end Males of the CAB at the X International Tournament 'The Lighthouse', event in which Friends participated as guest team. On the last day of the competition, our Initiates returned to good performances, winning the formation of Leça by 32-31, in a game where there was no lack of balance and emotion. However, in the decisive moments, the Madeirenses were stronger and started a victory 'by irons', but totally deserved. In the afternoon, the CAB measured forces with the Spanish team of Lugo, a meeting that was already of great difficulty for our boys given the physical power of the opponent, which counts, in its ranks, with a player with no less than... 2.05 meters high. An impressive fact, at all levels, but even more so if we consider that we are talking about a sub-14 echelon. Our boys gave everything they had and fought with the arguments they had to counter the team in the neighboring country. However, as the game progressed, the difference between the two teams, particularly in the physical chapter, was evident, with the Spanish winning the meeting by 24-43. Thus, the CAB terminates its participation in the tournament with a frankly positive record, leaving the clear idea that, despite having a smaller competitive experience, the team has the potential to grow further and to continue to progress technically and tactically. The players and their coaches are therefore to be congratulated because they have been able to take advantage of participating in an international event to take a step forward in their Training. They were also able to represent the club and Madeira with dignity. A final word of recognition and thanks to the Players' Education Officers, who made this experience possible. The club appreciates the commitment of the parents and mothers of athletes, including the fundraising for the trip, because, without them and them, nothing would have been possible.
