CAB Christmas Tournament celebrated basketball values

A huge success, marked by conviviality, camaraderie and friendly and healthy competition. This is how the CAB Christmas Tournament can be defined! The initiative, which was organized by the Coordination of the CAB, took place throughout Monday, mobilizing dozens of athletes from the Mini-10 and Mini-12 teams of various regional clubs. At the Mini-10 level, eleven teams from six different clubs participated, namely CAB, Atlantic, Galomar, ADRAP, São João and Mar & Serra. Already in the Mini-12 level, eight teams from six different clubs participated, namely CAB, Calheta, Galomar, ADRAP, Corral and Mar & Serra. In all, no more than thirty-six games were held, which were only possible due to the participation of almost two dozen coaches from various clubs, as well as about a dozen employees, associated with participating clubs and also the Association of Basketball of Madeira. Participants in the Christmas Tournament were unanimous in the opinion that the initiative was another competitive moment of quality, which gave players another opportunity to improve their knowledge of the sport in a very positive environment of friendship and fraternization, values that are always important in Sport. The CAB Official Site thanks all participating clubs, not only for the participation of their teams, but also for the inexhaustible collaboration they gave at the level of logistics management of the Tournament, which was essential for the initiative to be organized. We extend our thanks to the Madeira Basketball Association for the loan of the tables used, for the integration of this activity into the Association's Activities Plan and for the provision of referees and board officers, without whom the games would not be possible. In conclusion, a great and sincere thanks to the Coordination of the CAB Minibasket, especially to Coach Gilda Alves, who was the idealist and main mentor of the entire Tournament. With her dynamic, human, committed and contagious style, Coach Gilda has transformed this event into a very successful activity, which has enriched the club, those who have become a part of it, but also the modality, above all. It is for this and so many other reasons that Coach Gilda is an example of how to be in basketball! Thank you so much!
