This weekend, our Women's Team faces a double journey out of doors. If, on Saturday, the 'our girls' play against Lousada, a team with very specific characteristics and recently strengthened with a foreign athlete, already on Sunday is the time to face Vagos, a formation that has always been in the top places of the last editions of the Women's League. It is essential to note that friends face very difficult games. In addition to having to get up at 5:00 a.m. to travel on the very day of the game, as a result of a well-known financial situation, CAB athletes will also play in pavilions that are difficult, with audiences that are very expressive in supporting their teams, and with a truly conditioned squad. Unfortunately, the CAB cannot count on the contribution of the Maria João base, a great reference and symbol of the Friends, who is recovering from a shoulder injury of some seriousness. For this reason, the athlete will not travel with the group and will stay in Madeira receiving medical treatment and physiotherapy. Marta Bravo is also recovering from an injury, as is foreign Christian Shelter, who during the week injured herself in the knee. Even in the face of all these setbacks, CAB athletes, commitment and commitment models, set out for the difficult double journey with great conviction that they will do everything to honor the sweater they wear - or were they not our heroines and examples for the entire club! On the eve of the match, Coach João Pedro spoke to the Official Site of the CAB and made an analysis of the approaching journey and the less favorable moment that cross the Friends. Here we reproduce his words: "This weekend, the Women's League Championship begins for the Cow Wood. Because of the contingencies inherent in the unsolved problem of travel, we are obliged to make a double journey on the continent, which is not very pleasant especially in relation to how we prepare the second game." "At last, it is the possible situation and let's think first of all how we can beat Lousada on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., and only after this game, at night, will we begin to prepare the Sunday fight against Vagos. Unfortunately, our team will have to get up at 5 a.m. to catch an early flight north of the country, which is not ideal, but is our current reality." “We will not be able to start the Women’s League with our team at full strength, since three of our main references will not be able to give their full help: Maria João cannot play, and she is still recovering from an injury contracted on the left shoulder due to a fall in the last game of the Victor Hugo Cup; Christian Shelter is also recovering from a small injury contracted on a knee during this week and will not be able to make her contribution to 100% and Marta Bravo contracted a small injury this week, and as such she will not be able to make her contribution as we would like. On the other hand, we have Justina Udenze more integrated into the team's dynamics and we have your precious help." "This will be a very important weekend for our younger players, because, due to absences, they will have to take a more responsible role in the team. The club decided this season to bet on the youth existing in the club, which will already have the opportunity in the first two days to demonstrate that this challenge is time." “It will be two extremely difficult games and very different from those performed with these teams in the Victor Hugo Cup. Lousada, this time, already presents in the field a foreign player, who naturally makes this team stronger than we found at the beginning of the season. We expect a balanced game but we have worked towards starting the League with a victory."
