In a clear sign of a bet on the formation of the club, João Paulo Silva (‘Juca’), coach of the male team, called to join the team of the group that will compete in the Professional League, the athletes Tiago Oliveira and Gonçalo Miranda. And the coach's decision was received with great enthusiasm by the selected players. Tiago Oliveira was born in Porto Santo, and last year he was invited by the CAB to join the training schools of the club, signing with the Friends a Sports Training Contract. In his first year defending the shirt of the club of Nazareth, Tiago Oliveira demonstrated great margin of progress and significant work ability. Gonçalo already Miranda is a fully trained athlete at the CAB, and last year, she worked in the Hours of Funchal, a satellite team of Friends. In statements to the CAB Official Site, Juca remarked, “The inclusion of Gonçalo and Tiago in the male team meets one of my goals, along with the club’s managers: gradually increasing the participation of athletes trained in the club in the senior team.” In a more individual analysis of the athletes selected for the senior team, the group’s coach noted, “The Gonçalo is a player with great work ability and who places much aggression on all defensive and attacking actions. It will be used in the first base position and has as main feature the external launch, in particular of three points. Tiago is a young player, who recently turned 15, has a good physical ability and this opportunity will make it possible to evolve with athletes of greater experience.” In a record of great optimism and confidence in the future of both players, Juca concludes, “We will ensure conditions for Gonçalo and James to make a formative process that will help their full future integration into the CAB. These athletes are undoubtedly another bet of the club on their athletes, making it very clear the importance of training in our club.”
